Courses
PADI
(Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world largest
diver training association, certifying well over 700'000 divers annually.
Additionally, PADI has over 50'000 active diving instructors offering
PADI diver training in over 180 countries. PADI has offices in America,
Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, Norway
and Sweden, all established to assure immediate support of its members
worldwide. Worldwide more people have learned to dive with the PADI System
of Diver Education than with any other recreational scuba program. One
reason for its popularity is PADI's use of the most modern instructional
methods and materials, which allow students to learn quickly and effectively.
The PADI System is student centered, allowing divers to progress at their
own pace. Because no one can learn everything about diving in one course,
the system encourages divers to take continuing education programs that
enhance participation, enjoyment and safety.
Diving
is fun, easy to learn and very safe!
The
courses we are offering are:
1.
Open Water
The first step into a new, fascinating, colorful world. As we mentioned
before, the course is very much student centered and it is not easy giving
a fixed time schedule. We will progress only when we are sure, that every
student has comprehended the theory and everyone feels ready to go on. Normal
duration: 4 - 5 days.
You
learn in 5 modules everything you need to know as a beginner. After every
module there is a quiz which makes sure, that you have understood everything. You
learn from your book, videos shown in the classroom and the presentations
of your instructor. Of course it is not only boring theory - you will
practice many things in your Confined Open Water Session. Usually theory
is a piece of cake and a lot of fun as well - it is not like being in
school again, just have a look at our "classroom".
1.1 Confined Open Water
Step by step you practice exercises in shallow water - shallow enough
to stand up in, ask questions or just have a joke together. As you progress,
you will feel the thrill of breathing underwater, the freedom of being
weightless and you gain competence during the course
1.2 Open Water
In 4 dives (the first 2 not deeper than 12 m, the last 2 not deeper then
18 m) you practice everything you learned before in the real environment.
You will be speechless (of course underwater ...) about all the colors
and the aquatic realm in general.
WARNING:
THE ONLY PROBLEM ABOUT THIS COURSE IS, THAT YOU CAN GET VERY EASY ADDICTED
TO DIVING!
2.
PADI Advanced Open Water
After you are certified as an Open Water Diver you can go on diving
within your limits. We always compare it with a driver's license. First
you hit the roads slowly and then you even go on a high-way. Instead of
spending many hours "just going diving" (if former students wish to do
so, they get the equipment-rental for free!) - go with a professional
and take the Advanced course. This way you can benefit best, because during
3 days you have a chance to ask questions, watch and have great dives.
The course is based on „learning by doing". In 5 dives you will extend
your diving abilities in general and learn some new techniques as well;
you have the choice (except the 2 core dives and depending on logistics)
Navigation
(core): Get familiar with easy navigation-techniques. Knowing where
you are and where you have to go, reduces air-consumption and enriches the
thrill of the dive. You have more time to appreciate the aquatic realm.
Deep Dive (core): Sometimes there lies a ship-wreck at 28 m or there
is a fantastic garden of white soft-corals which you want to discover at greater
depth. Here you learn more how to stay safe within your limits.
Multilevel-Dive: Learn how to use the wheel and extend your bottom-time
tremendously!
Underwater-Naturalist: A Diver should be able to speak
about what he has seen underwater. We will go diving together and discuss,
what we have seen.
Search & Recovery: Improve your Navigation-Skills and enjoy the fun
of recovering objects safely from the bottom to the surface.
Night-Dive: What can we say: some of our best dives have been night-dives.
Discover different marine-life and colors, as some creatures are night active!
Drift-Dive: Big Fun! Float along the reef and watch the amazing life
passing.
There
is only little „classroom-action". Before every dive you evaluate with
your Instructor a quiz, where you learn everything you need to know about
the dive you are going to do. After the Dive you evaluate together, what
you have seen and done. It is really fun and very beneficial.
3. Rescue Diver
This course the Instructor and the students enjoy most, because
you gain a broader spectrum of knowledge and self-confidence. Learn more about Self-Rescue
and to help others. But most important: You learn how to avoid problems,
before they even occur! Sensible Anticipation is a big keyword.
3.1.
Medic First Aid
A prerequisite for the Rescue Diver Course. A good thing to have
this knowledge anyhow - no doubt about it!
4. Divemaster
Become a professional! This course takes minimum 3 - 4 weeks (depending
on the experience of the student), where you learn almost everything about
the job of being a dive-leader and an valuable assistant to the instructor.
You will learn many things, but basically we want you to go diving, and
step by step, to take responsibility.
5.
Assistant Instructor
Divemasters! Become a even more valuable professional member and besides
t h e best preparation for your Instructor Training.
We are offering as well Discover Scuba Diving (one day course - no certificate)
for those who don't have time to do a complete course, and Specialties
like: Underwater Naturalist, Search & Recovery, Deep, Night, Peak Performance
Buoyancy and Navigation. Specialties cover the field even deeper then
in the Advanced Course.
Snorkelers
are always welcome!
